“I always wanted to be a doctor, and had plans to become an orthopedist. But when I discovered podiatry and the opportunity to help people suffering with diabetes, my life changed forever.”

Hi. I’m Daniel Hennessy, the owner of Denville Foot & Ankle in Denville, New Jersey. I recently acquired Denville Podiatry from Dr. John Olin and Dr. Jean Roniger. They built a terrific practice over the course of the last 32 years. I am very happy and honored that they asked me to purchase the practice and continue the outstanding patient centric practice they built. I have always maintained a passion for medicine that began at a very young age shadowing my close friends’ parents who were surgeons of various specialties. However, once I discovered that podiatrists treat diabetic patients and did everything from routine foot care to reconstructive surgery, I knew I had found my specialty. Having an immediate family member with type 1 diabetes, I felt an overwhelming desire to help people that suffer with this lifelong disease. Learning about this disease from personal experience and in the classroom has only made my appetite grow into the career I have today.

To deliver the best care possible to patients, I have undergone rigorous training and education to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and Orthopedics and hold an additional certification in foot and ankle arthroscopy. My education and training have taken me to Tennessee, where I grew up, to Alabama (Auburn University…War Eagle!), Chicago, and finally to New Jersey. I completed my residency with Atlantic Health System, which encompasses three major medical centers, including the Morristown Medical Center. In the office, I see patients from newborn to geriatric for any condition related to the foot or ankle. I also treat patients with diabetic foot wounds at the Wound Healing Center at Morristown Medical Center. Lastly, I am proudly involved in education at Morristown Medical Center within the Atlantic Health System. There, I am the Associate Program Director of the Podiatric Surgery and Medicine Residency and the Vice Chairman for the Department of Podiatry.

During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife, daughter, and sons, and I try to sneak in a round of golf here and there.

My goal is to provide superior medical and surgical care to my patients. I am always available to listen to my patient’s goals and expectations. Working as a team yields the greatest chance of success. So, let’s get you back on your feet!
